Every fault below comes from real call-outs across Durban and surrounding areas. Some have a quick check you can try yourself before booking anyone — where that's true, we say so. When a visit is needed, the diagnosis is done with a signal meter, quoted before work starts, and covered by our 12-month workmanship warranty. New to this part? Start with the wi-fi & smart module component guide.
1. Won't connect to Wi-Fi
What you'll see: The TV can't find or hold a Wi-Fi connection, or connects and drops repeatedly.
Why it happens: A router/TV compatibility issue, a failed internal Wi-Fi module, or corrupted network settings on the TV.
How we fix it: We test with a wired Ethernet connection to isolate TV-side vs network-side, then reset network settings or replace the Wi-Fi module as the fault demands.
2. Apps crash or won't open
What you'll see: Streaming apps close unexpectedly, hang on loading, or won't open at all — while the rest of the TV works normally.
Why it happens: Corrupted app cache/data, insufficient storage on the TV, or an outdated app version incompatible with the current firmware.
How we fix it: We clear app data, free up storage and update firmware first — the free fix that resolves the large majority of these cases.
3. Smart menu is slow or frozen
What you'll see: The home screen and menus are sluggish, unresponsive, or freeze entirely, sometimes requiring a hard power-off.
Why it happens: Storage nearly full, too many background processes, or firmware that has become unstable over time.
How we fix it: We clean up storage, update firmware to the latest stable version, and factory reset where needed — with your key settings noted down first.
4. Screen mirroring / casting doesn't work
What you'll see: AirPlay, Google Cast or screen mirroring from a phone or laptop fails to connect or drops immediately.
Why it happens: A network/firewall issue, an outdated casting protocol on the TV, or the Wi-Fi module itself struggling.
How we fix it: We verify network settings and firmware version first, then address the Wi-Fi module if the fault persists after software fixes.

Symptom doesn't match any of these?
Faults overlap — a "wi-fi & smart module problem" is sometimes another link in the chain wearing a disguise. Describe what your system is doing on 069 423 8290 (or WhatsApp a photo of the error screen) and we'll tell you which component it actually sounds like, free, before anything is booked.
