Sound faults are among the most common and most affordable TV repairs: a picture-perfect TV with no sound is rarely a mainboard problem and is usually the speaker itself, its connector, or a simple settings issue worth checking before any part is ordered.
We always rule out the free fix first — an accidentally muted output, the wrong audio format selected, or eARC/ARC settings mismatched with a soundbar — before quoting any repair.

When the speaker & audio board goes wrong
These are the failures we're called to most often — each with its symptoms, causes and our fix on the dedicated problems page:
- No sound at all — The picture is perfect but there is no sound from the TV's internal speakers on any source or channel.
- Crackling or distorted sound — Audio plays but crackles, distorts at higher volumes, or cuts out intermittently.
- Sound cuts out or fades — Audio starts normally then fades to silence, or cuts in and out unpredictably.
