1. No signal on one HDMI input
What you'll see: One specific HDMI port shows "no signal" while other ports work fine with the same or a different device.
Why it happens: A failed or damaged HDMI port, a broken solder joint on the mainboard, or corrosion inside the port.
How we fix it: We test the port with a known-good source and cable to confirm the fault sits with the TV, then re-solder or replace the port.
2. HDMI port loose or only works at an angle
What you'll see: The picture drops out unless the cable is held at a specific angle, or the port visibly wobbles.
Why it happens: A port that has come loose from the mainboard through repeated cable insertion, cracking its solder joints.
How we fix it: We re-solder the port securely to the board — a quick, affordable and permanent fix for this specific symptom.

3. Picture but no sound over HDMI
What you'll see: The image displays correctly but there is no audio from that specific HDMI source.
Why it happens: An HDMI audio handshake fault, ARC/eARC misconfiguration, or a cable that carries video but not audio properly.
How we fix it: We test with a known-good cable first, then correct the handshake/EDID settings or repair the port if the fault persists.
4. Intermittent HDMI dropouts
What you'll see: The picture flickers, drops to black, or shows "no signal" briefly and recovers — worse when the cable is touched.
Why it happens: A marginal cable, a partially failed port connector, or interference on a long unshielded run.
How we fix it: We swap in a known-good high-speed cable to isolate the fault, then repair the port or address the cable run as the evidence points.
