A satellite installation is four components and a cable, and each one has a version that lasts and a version that does not.

The measure of a satellite installation is not whether it works on the day. Every installation works on the day. The measure is whether it still works, unattended, through three summers of storms and sun.
What that takes. Mounts bolted into structure rather than into mortar or battens. Cable clipped at proper intervals so wind cannot work it loose, with a drip loop before it enters the wall so water runs off rather than in. Compression connectors, made up fresh.
